Meet Final Program Requirements
- Complete a practicum. This practicum, included in Modules B and D, will be completed under the supervision of your Clinical Supervisor.
- The NCCA license upgrade free, from the Bachelor’s to the Master’s level, is included in the tuition.
- Provide required documentation.
- Complete individual Counselor Reports (case studies) developed from the candidate’s work with 25 persons using the Arno Profile System reports. Your Clinical Supervisor will help guide you through this process. These reports will comprise the thesis which will be submitted to the NCCA for grading.
- Background check completed ($100 fee included in tuition).
- A ministerial credential is required. This comprises one of commissioning, licensing or ordination. The NCCA suggests options for gaining that if not already held by the student. This credential is not required to apply or begin the program.
- Licensing level at the completion of the program will be: NCCA-Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor.
Master's Degree Student Testimonials
Don Ibbitson (Clinical Supervisor), was very prompt in responding to questions and grading. He was very encouraging as I completed the program.

I like all the programs and the staff encouraged me through all. I saw this school and tools love Jesus and equipping those to do faith Based counseling and to minister to others.

I would also encourage everyone to attend the Above & Beyond Counseling Academy (I was an online distance learning student) . It is reasonably priced, the curriculum is self-paced and very informative, and also Dr Ibbitson is great and always available.

I encourage you to be part of this program if God has placed in your heart the burning desire to serve Him and has appointed this program for your completion. May God bless you and prosper you as you make room in your heart so that His calling takes shape and flourishes.

The Lord literally lead me to A & B while on a sabbatical. I had been accepted at a secular institution for a Masters in Counseling. The Lord told me “no” to the secular education. I submitted to Him and cancelled with the university. Two weeks later, info about A & B Academy fell in my lap.

I chose A&B because of the professionalism of the school and staff. I enjoyed that the courses were self-guided and online.
